ASKI, Australian Embassy inaugurate milk processing, packaging center for the youth
The ASKI Skills and Knowledge Institute, Inc. and the Australian Embassy in the Philippines inaugurated the milk processing, packaging and marketing center on January 22, 2020 as part of the celebration of the President's Week.

The center dubbed as the ASKI-AusAid Agri Center located at the Talavera Agricultural and Social Enterprise Training Center in Talavera, Nueva Ecija will serve the aspiring students of the institute to venture into agripreneurship. They were formalized and registered as the "Samahan ng mga Kabataan Para sa Kaunlaran (SKPK)."

"This project is one of the innovations that we developed for the youth to support them in their financial needs and also to help them realize that agriculture coupled with entrepreneurship is a lucrative profession," Rolando B. Victoria, President and CEO of AGC said.

The ceremony was graced by Mr. Victoria, Talavera Mayor Nerivi Santos- Martinez, Philippine Carabao Center Director Arnel Del Barrio, Direct Aid Program Manager of the Australian Embassy in Manila Teodora Avila and ASKI Training Institute Director Mary Jane Macapagal.

In a message delivered by Ms. Avila, she commended the efforts of ASKI for initiating an innovative project to be managed by the students which will help them realize their life-long dreams and become an agripreneurs.

She also mentioned that the Embassy is proud to work with ASKI in this partnership and hopes to bring the officers of the Embassy to visit the project in the future.

Meanwhile, PCC Director Arnel Del Barrio committed to support the Institute in his personal capacity as volunteer trainer on Agriculture and additional buffaloes. Earlier on, the PCC had already provided dairy carabaos to ASKI for the said initiative. PCC will also supply buffalo milk in the center for processing.

DTI Provincial Director Brigida Pili and DOLE Officer Estrella De Lara also gave their congratulatory messages to ASKI and assured of their respective support to the program. The celebration was also witnessed by the Board, Management and students of the ASKI Group of Companies, Inc.
